Research Scientist

ImFusion is a company founded in 2012 offering consulting, research and development in advanced medical image computing technologies and computer vision. We work on a wide variety of technologies in close collaboration with our customers that range from start-ups to multinational companies. We are also developing our own software framework that allows us (and our customers as well as other research labs) to conduct efficient R&D and push the state-of-the-art forward in a number of applications.

The candidate will work with our cutting-edge visual computing software framework to both implement customer projects and conduct research in medical image analysis. We therefore offer a very exciting platform for close-to-product research in medical imaging.

  • PhD in a relevant field, e.g. Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics
  • Ability to conduct research independently
  • Strong programming skills, especially in C++
  • Experience in medical imaging
  • Proficiency in English

Software Engineer

For our growing portfolio of medical image computing software as well as the development of our own framework, we are looking for a software engineer.

  • MSc (or BSc) in Computer Science
  • Excellent programming skills in C++
  • Experience in parallel computing OpenGL/OpenCL
  • Knowledge on the Qt framework would be beneficial
  • Experience in software design patterns, unit testing and software quality processes
  • Proficiency in English

Internships

We always welcome applications from students looking for a paid internship within a research and development company. Because much of our work has a strong scientific component, the position may be combined with a bachelor or master thesis. We have a set of interesting and innovative topics that we can discuss and adapt to the student's background and interests.

The candidate should be a Bachelor or Master student in a relevant field (computer science, image processing, medical imaging, machine learning, etc.) and proficient in object-oriented programming, especially C++.
